For at least a year, I have been thinking I should start a blog. But I wasn’t sure what I wanted to write. In early December 2020, I finally started this site and then promptly forgot about it because I was so busy with the holidays. I’m a Lutheran pastor, so Advent and Christmas take priority. Then, in order to rest from the pre-Christmas rush, I took a week off between Christmas and New Years to spend time with my family.

2020 turned out to be the most difficult year ever for most of the people in the entire world. The coronavirus struck with a vengeance… creating a worldwide pandemic… and sickening millions of people… many of whom who died. The world shut down. Life as we knew it will likely never be the same again. This is not necessarily a bad thing.

Sometimes it takes drastic measures to force us to take stock of what is truly important in life. The title of this blog is Grace Notes. The tag line is “Life happens. How we respond matters.”

So, if you are interested, come along with me. Let’s see how this unfolds together.
